Prescriber Highlights

  • Used as management for chronic primary glaucoma.

  • Risk for systemic organophosphate toxicity; may cause acute pancreatitis in dogs.

  • Do not combine with pilocarpine or organophosphate/carbamate parasiticides.

  • Do not use in patients with myasthenia gravis (drug interactions).

  • Long duration of activity may be optimal for nonadherent owners.
